About The Benjamin NYC

The Benjamin is a luxury boutique-styled hotel located in Midtown at 50th Street and Lexington Avenue.

The hotel excels in helping its guests make the most of every New York minute with its timeless residential design, anticipatory service, executive assistance and world-renowned Sleep Program with a 12-Choice Pillow menu and dedicated Sleep Concierge. The Benjamin's 209 guest rooms & suites include kitchenettes, executives desks and signature Benjamin beds. Seventeen deluxe one-bedroom suites afford terraces overlooking the vibrant city. Pets stay for free and sleep in tail-wagging luxury with the Dream Dog program.

The Benjamin houses Chef Geoffrey Zakarian's award-winning restaurant–The National, which was recently listed as one of the Top 50 New York Restaurants by New York Times Restaurant Critic Sam Sifton.

Truly a Midtown gem, the hotel was originally built in 1929 by famed architect Emery Roth, and the timeless design of the 29 floor building inspired legendary artist Georgia O'Keefe to paint it from her apartment a few blocks away.

The National - One of New York Times' Top 50 NYC Restaurants

Food Network star Chef Geoffrey Zakarian brings his style, passion and culinary expertise to The Benjamin with his James Beard Award-winning restaurant, The National. His modern bistro menu delights as a result of his philosophy to use only fresh, perfectly sourced ingredients set into unexpected combinations that draw out their essential flavors. The National was recently added to the Sifty Fifty--a top 50 listing of New York City restaurants by New York Times Restaurant Critic Sam Sifton.

Zakarian is joined in the kitchen by Executive Chef Paul Corsentino and Executive Pastry Chef Marisa Croce. The all-star team produces all-occasion offerings that surpass expectations.

The 125-seat restaurant was designed by the Rockwell Group to serve as a New York grand cafe, where warm amber lighting and leather banquettes encourage its patrons to linger and delve into cafe culture.

A stunning, oiled bronze spiral staircase leads from the main restaurant to the second floor, where five residentially styled dining rooms provide elegant seated dining for up to 80, and cocktail receptions for up to 200. For more information on private dining, contact: Marquez Andrews at mandrews@thenationalnyc.com.

The National is open daily from 7 a.m. to 1 a.m. Complimentary Wi-Fi is available.
