Don Pedro's Restaurant on the Upper East Side redefines the flavors of the Latin Caribbean palate with its sophisticated interpretation of the rich culinary traditions of the Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico and Cuba.
Opened in 2003, Don Pedro's has quickly become a neighborhood favorite. Conveniently located on the corner of Second Avenue and East 96th Street, Don Pedro's is open for lunch and dinner seven days a week, as well as Sunday brunch.
Diners can enjoy new takes on classic dishes such as Mofongo and Pernil or opt for one of chef Rene Hernandez's original signature dishes, including Montadito Don Pedro, an appetizer featuring cured pork tenderloin, manchego cheese and piquillo pepper, and the flaming T-bone steak. In addition, Don Pedro's array of specialty cocktails, including their popular Mojito, can provide the perfect complement to any meal.
El Bulli-trained executive chef Rene Hernandez brings classical expertise and a uniquely contemporary flair to the time honored tastes of the islands, while preserving the simple elegance of Latin Caribbean cuisine.
Don Pedro's features an airy and colorful split level dining area, with full service bar, creating a refined, yet decidedly relaxed atmosphere. The interior is composed of a combination of modern and traditional Latin Caribbean design elements, complementing the vibrance of the flavorful fare.
Not only does Don Pedro's have an extensive brunch, lunch and dinner menu, they also have an individual tapas menu and an exciting drinks menu.
