About Long Lake Arts & Adventures Camp
Nestled high in the Adirondack mountains, Long Lake Camps brings fun for all kids. Whether they're looking for constant adventure, including ATVs, horseback riding, paintball, and wake boarding; or theater and arts, featuring dance, acting, music and fine art.
Founded in 1969, Long Lake Camp for the Arts is an oasis for the performing arts and the fine arts. Kids ages 9 through 16 design their perfect summer through the guidance and leadership of the 150-person camp staff. Long Lake Camp for the Arts provides a nurturing environment where kids will improve their skills and learn completely new ones at their own pace. Exciting and challenging classes, numerous stage performances each week, and unlimited studio time generate an electric atmosphere.
Long Lake Camp for the Arts courses include:
- Theater camp: Over 30 productions each summer.
- Fine arts camp: Unlimited time to create and over 20 studios.
- Music camp: Private and group lessons for every instruments, as well as weekly concerts.
- Rock camp: Jam daily and perform every saturday night.
- Dance camp: Learn Hip-Hop, Jazz, Modern, Contemporary, Ballet and more.
- Circus camp: "The greatest camper show on Earth!"
- Film camp: From storyboard to the silver screen with professional film-makers.
Long Lake Adventure Camp is the only summer camp of its kind offering non-stop adventure everyday, along with the most diverse elective program around. Long Lake Adventure Camp gives every camper all they want by allowing them to choose their own unique program, providing each camper with a wide range of choices for each period of the day. Every day, Long Lake Adventure Camp is filled with:
- ATV's
- Horseback riding
- High ropes adventure
- Paint ball games
- Wake boarding
- Tubing
- Sailing
- Arts and crafts (20 studios, all mediums)
- Music (start a rock band or practice any instrument)
- All the sports you could ever want - the sky is the limit.
Other sleepaway camps cannot compete with the level of variety Long Lake Adventure Camp offers.
Long Lake Camps also take great pride in the food served, catering to all diets, whether that be vegetarian, vegan, kosher, allergy-safe, or anything else – and all campres are sure to eat very well.
