Pane Panelle

Pane Panelle

About Pane Panelle

Nestled on a windowed corner in Tribeca, Pane Panelle (formally Stuzzicheria) is a Southern Italian focacceria, trattoria and bar. Pane Panelle takes its name from "Pane e Panelle", a popular street style sandwich in Palermo made of chickpea.

Serving brunch, lunch and dinner, our menu includes a selection of Italian sandwiches, pastas and entrees as well as "stuzzichini" - delectable little plates like Arancini (Rice Balls); Salumi (Cured Meats); Italian cheeses; Meatballs; Polpo (octopus) and many types of crostini. Our wine list features sustainable and bio-dynamic selections from Puglia, Sicily, Abruzzo and Calabria and can be enjoyed while dining al fresco in warmer months on our sidewalk café.

Executive Chef Paul Di Bari uses seasonal ingredients, both local and imported and has garnered national media praise for his passion for Italian food. Our namesake sandwich "Pane Panelle" was voted "# 2" by New York Magazine and our sandwich shop was recently included in Eater’s roundup of "Top Ten Sandwich Additions in NYC".

Pane Panelle has a happy hour every day from 4-7pm for specialty cocktails, quartinos of wine, Italian beer and a $1 snack menu.
