About Paprika
Rustic-chic Paprika fills a niche all its own on St. Mark’s Place – an earthy, authentic Northern Italian spot, rich in flavor and friendly service. From the candles and warm red hues to the peasant country food, it’s genuine and unpretentious; we keep things simple.
The homey recipes include regional Alpine dishes like tagliatelle with shredded cabbage, cheese and potatoes; pappardelle with braised oxtail ragu, and tender handmade gnocchi.
East Village foodies will appreciate the excellent Italian wine selections and the delightful desserts (panna cotta – a creamy Italian flan with fig reduction). If that’s not enough enticement, there’s also an $18 prix-fixe dinner, which includes an appetizer and main course.
Paprika features a complete brunch, dinner, dessert, and wine menu, each composed from authentic and traditional Italian recepies.

I absolutely love this restaurant. The service is amazing!! I was here twice in one week! The first time, I had the oxtail ragu. Pure heaven. You don't want to take your time on this dish because it tastes 100,5394 times better when it's freshly served and warm! I also had the panna cotta for dessert and I must say, the texture is beyond amazing. It just melts in your mouth, literally. The second time I was here, I had the lobster mac and cheese… The fact that there was REAL chunks of lobster made me feel like such a happy child… Paprika is the only restaurant that was so generous with the the amount of genuine lobster! Paprika's portions are also just right. It's not too big but you'd be surprised as to how filling it is! Overall, amazing place. Amazing people. Amazing food. MUST GO! - Michelle Z.
Paprika is an excellent Italian restaurant... The prices are beyond reasonable… I've ordered several of their pasta specials and they're never more expensive than the pasta options listed on the menu. Generous portions, attentive wait staff, delicious desserts. Try the kale salad, and try those tasty risotto ball appetizers. [At] Paprika, while you might have to wait without a reservation, you won't wait for TOO long if you're a table of 2-3. Intimate spot for date night or get together with friends, as well as a nice place for a group dinner. The food is refined, though the atmosphere isn't too stuffy. - Esinam B.
What a great find. Utterly charming place that serves up really delicious pasta… Anyway, lobster mac n' cheese! I didn't know what to expect. Kraft's mac n' cheese with a touch of imitation lobster? Nuh uh. It's an addictive mac n' cheese with a GOOD amount of lobster...and my friend's oxtail ragu was yum too! It's great that you can really taste that the pasta is homemade.
