Practice 'Energy Art' with Tao Yoga & Tai Chi
Byregion-Tao Master
Mother nature gives us so much over the course of our lives, and its high time that we start giving back, and it starts with Ki Gong workshops at Dahn Yoga (Tao Yoga & Tai Chi).
- Ki Gong means 'energy arts,' which is a martial art-like practice that opens the door for people everywhere to experience energy principles within their body. Each workshop is both challenging and rewarding to those who practice this unique art. Over the course of your journey, you will dive deeper into your Ki Gong practice and gain a sense of power, confidence and unlimited energy. This practice is great for those who experience repeated stress or activities which require a significant amount of energy. In time you will be able to restore and repair yourself through natural processes that utilize your body's full potential.
- The area which Ki accumulates is called the Dan Jun. This area is generally referred to as the lower abdomen about two inches under the navel. The Dan Jun draws, stores and emits Ki as the body needs it. When Ki is absorbed and stored, it is then divided in two ways, managing and protecting Ki.
- You should also keep in mind that your Sun Ki, is your personal Ki which must be kept in perfect harmony and synchronization with nature's energy for optimal health. By practicing Ki Gong, you will be able to balance and increase your energy and prolong its natural benefits in your everyday life.
-
Ki Gong is generally cenrtered around three basic principles:
- Accumulating/Storing the Ki
- Circulating the Ki
- Transmitting the Ki
- Practicing Ki Gong also provides a number of great benefits including increased energy, strength and a sense of well being.
- "My body is becoming stronger and more graceful and I feel with continued commitment I can achieve my goals physically, mentally and spiritually," said a Ki Gong Workshop Participant.
- You should always have a sense of ownership and guardianship over your body while ensuring the health and wellness of the Earth all around you. Ki-gong helps to develop that sense of ownership, and by practicing techniques with Dahn Yoga (Tao Yoga & Tai Chi), you can experience increased energy live you've never imagined and a better health.
