The International Contemporary Furniture Fair is coming soon, and you can feel the artistic energy in the air. Not only will the renowned fair be at the Jacob K. Javits Center from May 14 to 17, but the Model Citizen NYC exhibit/trade show will be here, too.

According to their website, Model Citizen NYC seeks to use the hightened excitement surrounding the ICFF and New York's Design Week to showcase some lesser-known and emerging designers. Their third annual exhibit will bring designers of "furniture, products, ceramics, glass, art objects and jewelry" to the Chelsea Art Museum for three days starting Friday.

The designers featured in this year's exhibit include Click Boom Pow, BirdProject by Tippy and Build it Green! NYC, just to name a few. The entire list includes over 90 participating designers, making for a potpourri of artistic creations.

The Model Citizen NYC exhibit will be open to the public free of charge and, according to NYC Arts, will provide a free shuttle bus from the Chelsea Art Museum to the ICFF on Saturday, May 14.
