New York’s World Science Festival hit a high note with its BIORHYTHM: Music and the Body showcase Friday evening at the Eyebeam Art + Technology Center.

The showcase featured exhibits all relating to music and the body in unique ways. People of all ages walked through the displays, all of which showed how the music correlates with the body’s reactions.

One of the most popular exhibits was the Sonic Bed, where people could lie in a huge bed complete with subwoofers transmitting sounds that allowed people to connect with their senses. Another popular exhibit was Chains of Emotion, where people could grab onto the provided chains and hold hands with others to create sound and become links in a musical chain.

The BIORHYTHM event allowed those who attended to expand their knowledge on how music affects the body, especially with emotions. Those who attended saw displays from several countries, such as Spain, Japan, Italy and France. Attendees could take away an expanded knowledge on not only music, but their body’s responses to it as well.

Eyebeam Art + Technology Center: 540 W. 21st St., bet. 10th & 11th Aves.
