Feel like making some noise this week? Have something to clap about? Then join the best step groups in New York – for free(!) – at the Step To The High Line Festival this week. The festival, which starts at the Chelsea Market Passage on the High Line, will feature a different group performance each night, culminating in a joint performance from all five groups on Saturday night, June 18. The festival begins Monday, June 13 at 6:30 p.m. with the Goodwill Beacon Finest Ladies of Queens. After the show, you can stick around to learn some step moves of your own, with a free lesson offered by that night's performers!
Step is a style of dance that combines powerful and synchronized stomping, clapping, and calling.
