The Metropolitan Room is featuring a special performance by renowned jazz singer Annie Ross. Annie Ross has been an abundant contributor to the jazz community for over 50 years, and was a pioneer of vocalese, as well as the composer of “Twisted” and “Farmers Market” Annie Ross will be performing weekly shows beginning on January 6 through Februrary 28. Tickets are $25.00 and are still available.
Since 2005, Fred Torres Collaborations has managed David LaChapelle's fine art career, but only until now is officialy representing the artist in New York. For the first time in the United States, FTC will be exhibiting LaChapelle's Earth Laughs In Flowers, a new series of ten large-scale photographs in which the artist adopts a Baroque still life painting approach to explore, as FTC notes, "contemporary vanity, vice, the transience of earthly possessions and, ultimately, the fragility of humanity." Earth Laughs In Flowers runs from February 23 through March 24. Opening Reception takes place Thursday, Feb, 23 from 6 to 8 p.m.
