Klee Brasseire is the premier location for Alsatian-Austrian and Bistro German cuisine. The restaurant prides itself as the European-American environment that culminates Italian, French, Spanish dishes tinged with American roots. But for couple Daniel Angerer and Lori Mason, the owners are now ready to take their restaurant to the next level.
According to Grub Street, the couple plans for Klee to become an Austrian heuriger. If your scratching your head or Googling heuriger, here's a hint: its Austrian. Heuriger is a term for an Eastern-Austrian wine-tavern where patrons experience a cozy environment of affordable wines and foods.
The change is set to reflect the current state of the economy and be selling their wine bottles to local dinners as the five-year-old restaurant is set to have a simplified menu.
This is the second change for Angerer and Mason, as they recently closed down their hot dog joint Brats: Dogs & Wieners to make more room for its neighbor, Little Cheese Pub.
