A Barneys employee recently told shoppers that their annual winter Warehouse Sale will run from February 16 to February 26, according to Racked.
As Racked points out, if the dates are in fact correct, the ten-day sale is eight days shorter than it was last winter. While this could be possible, it sticks out as a red flag.
Second, the unofficial dates overlap with the store's LA sale. Unlike previous years, this means that New York wouldn't get any shipments of LA's leftover items and feature less merchandise overall.
Although the employee-offered dates seem fishy, they could be accurate.
Either way, expect Barney's to close around February 9 as it begins to prepare for the winter sale.
