The multi-talented James Franco is testing his skills once again from behind the camera with his new film and video installation, High/Low, Rob Lowe, opening this Saturday at Terence Koh’s Asia Song Society. Artinfo reported that the exhibition will feature Three’s Company: The Drama, which recently premiered at the Sundance Film Festival, along with High/Low, Rob Lowe, and Road Trip, depicting Franco’s cross-country journey.
High/Low, Rob Lowe contains footage recorded by Franco on both his iPhone and 8mm film, which chronicles his experiences from the set of 127 Hours to his time at Yale University. Road Trip will be shown alongside this project and features his cross-country journey while he reads West Wing, an autobiography by Rob Lowe as he visits iconic works of art. The installation is described as a “demonstration in the way society obsesses over self-documentation”.
