The Metropolitan Playhouse is hosting a special children’s event entitled “The Festival of the Vegetables” beginning February 4 and running through February 19.
The festival is a collection of brief and witty poems, piano pieces and songs, as well as dances that showcase and reveal the secret and interesting lives of common vegetables.
The scene is set in a grocery store, where a toddler, shopping with his mother, nods off to sleep. The child dreams of vegetable adventures introduced and narrated by produce clerks.
“The Festival of the Vegetables” was created by Micheal and Rachael Kosch, and is recommended for children ages 5 and up. Tickers are $15 for adults, and $10 for children.
