Ludlow Manor Loses Liquor License to SLA
Ludlow Manor Loses Liquor License to SLA - East Village & LES - Nightlife - NYC

Luc Carl tried to bring sexy back only to be taken back by Community Board 3 on the liquor issue resulting in the State Liquor Authority hot on their booze hound tails.

Early beginnings for Ludlow Manor, conceived as the Ludlow Bar, were rocky at best for the not-so-dynamic duo comprised of Carl and Delancey Bar owner Georgie Seville.

At the urging of CB3 the Ludlow team withdrew their application for licensing the upper floors of the bar, only to now have the SLA confiscate their current one and slap them with a $10,000 fine, according to Black Book Mag.

Eater reports the seisure was brought on as the manor was serving alcohol on all levels, and not food, as their license required.

Carl and Seville blame ConEd for no gas and a "bad, bad, publicist," according to Black Book. In order to plead their case, a fully-functioning kitchen must be installed, then the SLA will give them another hearing.

Might take more than offering peanut butter and jelly sandwiches to smooth over the community board to give them another chance.

Ludlow Manor: 95 Delancey St., corner of Delancey & Ludlow Sts.
