Developer Edward Minskoff has unveiled new designs for his “Starbucks-crushing” building at 51 Astor Place. The designs showcase an office building built from black gass with black granite and silver fins. According to Curbed, the building has a teaser website as well as a few images of the 12-story Fumihiko Maki designed building.
A few notable features include a private green roof on the fifth floor, a tenant accessible green roof on the 13th floor, and an urban plaza on the corner of Astor Place and Third Avenue. The lobby includes a Jame Carpenter-designed art instillation which complements the buildings overall design.
Curbed also says that Minskoff plans on filling the building with advanced tech companies, investment banks, and advertising firms.
