In mid-October, New York Times food critic Sam Sifton panned Xiao Ye, despite loving a few of the appetizer dishes. In reaction to the negative feedback, Eater reports, owner Eddie Huang announced a few changes to the menu on Tuesday, November 2, including portion size changes and a promise to use the same quality meat for all dishes. On Friday, November 5, he added that Xiao Ye will be offering all-you-can-drink Four Loko, in light of the recent controversy over the drink's potent mixture of caffeine and alcohol that has led to a state-wide ban in Michigan. In a promotion called 'Four Loko Thursdays,' customers can get their blackout on, slapping down $15 for all the Four Loko you can handle, from 6-11 p.m.

The changes at Xiao Ye can be found over at Eater. More on the Michigan ban on alcoholic energy drinks and Four Loko's fight against the decision can be found at The Los Angeles Times.

Xiao Ye is located at 198 Orchard Street, near East Houston Street.
