The Gabarron Foundation presents Salutations to the Sky through February 15.
Salutations to the Sky is an exhibition by artist Dennis Oppenheim, which presents sculptural models, photographs and drawings that focus on the “intangible connection of the earth and sky." The exhibition is composed of multiple projects combined into one organized theme, which includes aerial photographs of various rivers and lakes, as well as construction sites all over the United States.
Dennis Oppenheim (1938-2011) continues to be an influential figure in international contemporary art. He had exhibited his work in museums and galleries worldwide since 1968. During four decades, his practice employed all available media methods as well as mechanical and industrial elements.
