There are two things kids love to do. Laugh and play chess!
While NYChessKids provides a number of opportunities for kids to laugh and play chess year round, April Camp 2012 offers a very special event great fun and even better chess moves that chess champions can take advantage of.
The camp will run from April 9-13 for two sessions, including the Morning and Afternoon Sessions. For those who would like to attend a full day of camp, NYChessKids also offers the entire full day session from 9 am-5 pm.
With the half day option, students will have the opportunity to work on chess techniques with instructions. The morning session will focus on chess and enhancing skills, while the afternoon will be focused on an outdoor exercising portion followed by a tournament-style game and overall analysis session with instructors.
April Camp 2012 will also offer kids the chance to bump up their skill level with a test for promotion which can be done online. The truth is it's never too early to start thinking about the next best place to go to foster your child's talent. Playing chess not only builds problems solving skills, but it increases IQ and improves math and science test scores. So
