For all those feeling deficient in the Northern European Renaissance this winter, The Morgan Library and Museum will be providing a dose of Dutch Masters that’s sure to get your art historical spirits up.

Rembrandt van Rijn will be chilling with some of his 16th century homies from Holland’s Golden Age until April 29 in an exhibition titled Rembrandt’s World: Dutch Drawings from the Clements C. Moore Collection. The works of this private collection, assembled over the past two decades, have never before been exhibited together.

Madison Square Art is holding a special outdoor exhibition of six painterly animations by acclaimed Dutch artist Jacco Olivier as the final presentation in their 2011 season. This is Madison Square Park's first public art commission in New York City, which will feature both new, sight specified pieces, as well as previous pieces new to the park. Olivier’s exhibition for Madison Square Park will feature a combination of his larger and more intimate works. Animations will be displayed on screens embedded in and suspended throughout the Park’s existing landscape, equally animating life in the Park’s heavily trafficked and quieter spaces.
