Using the same designers and chef - Robert Guvrich - Alison Eighteen is set to open next Tuesday, Jan. 31, after a long 10-year hiatus, reports Diners Journal.
This time, the new decor has been accentuated, and Alison Price Becker has been able to bring a "ligher and airier" atmosphere, writes the Journal. She has also incorporated a flexible layout with wood chairs and aubergine leather banquettes.
A sign of the times, the restaurant will offer breakfast, lunch and dinner. It will also have pastries, sanwiches and other fare to go.
The menu, as previously announced, will be strongly influenced by French cuisine with dishes such as, herb-steamed mussels with creme fraiche, halibut with chanterelles, and pot-au-feu.
On the American side, there will rotisserie chicken, lamb and other meats.
