Three hours behind, but three steps ahead.
The west coast's Wahoo's Fish Taco chain is opening its first east coast location in NYC, according to Gothamist.
Since it was founded by three brothers in 1988, the successful chain has become known for its "fast casual" surf culture style. With surfboards, skateboards, snowboards and bicycles hanging from the walls, the NYC location is clearly innovative.
As far as the menu goes, there's the obvious Fish Taco option. Less obvious options include the Maui Bowl, Teriyaki marinated steak served over steamed, seasoned rice and beans, Banzai Burritos and more.
Wahoo's Fish Taco chain also has a liquor license, which they've utilized for six beers on tap.
The restaurant chain's owners made it clear that the east coast's first Wahoo's Fish Taco space will not be its last.
