Mark St. Germain has hit international Gold with his latest play Freud’s Last Session. The play, set in 1939, deals with an imagined meeting between atheist psychoanalyst Sigmund Freud and Christian fantastical author C.S. Lewis. In their meeting, during some of Freud’s last days, the two clash on many issues, from the existence of God, to the meaning of sex, love and war.
The play, now in the beginnings of its second year in nyc picked up shop on October 2 from the Upper West Side’s Marjorie S. Deane Little Theater to New World Stages, reports Playbill.
Freud’s Last Session has either appeared or is planned to appear in production in, London, Madrid, Buenos Aires, Tokyo, Rio de Janeiro, Los Angeles, Stockholm, Mexico City, Chicago, Seattle, Atlanta, Orlando, Pittsburgh, Detroit, and Palm Beach.
