Blood suckers have been found at a hotel that is anything but fleabag.
A guest found her room at The Ritz-Carlton Hotel infested with bedbugs on Sunday, according to The Huffington Post.
After complaining to hotel management, the $695 to $4,500-a-night rooms next to, above and below the infested area were evacuated and guests were moved to other rooms.
Guests weren't the only angry ones after the incident. A room attendant that works at the Ritz, Rosanna Polanco, said she was asked to clean the affected room, but wasn't told by management about the infestation, reports The New York Times. Polanco found out on her own.
Bedbugs aren't limited to hotels, either. Recent reports of them have pooped up at office buildings like the Empire State, stores such as Abercrombie & Fitch, and movie theaters.
The Ritz's general manager, Scott Geraghty, confirmed the bedbug finding, but said the critters were inevitable. "They're brought in by guests and come in on luggage or things of that nature," he told The Times.
Geraghty said the problem had been fixed and no more bloodsuckers are staying at the Ritz.
