Over 65 top restaurants and chefs are joining together on May 21 for the 17th annual outdoor culinary festival Taste of Tribeca. The event, running from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., features signature dishes from renowned TriBeCa chefs, including Iron Chef contestants Marco Canora of Terroir and Marc Forgione, a family-friendly kids area, live entertainment sponsored by City Winery and wine tastings.
Participating wine stores include, to name a few, Frankly Wines, Chambers Street Wines and Vestry Wines. Meanwhile, the "Kids' Zone" takes place at the Duane Park triangle and features performances by the clown Looney Lenny, balloon art, arts and crafts, cookie decorating and face painting.
All proceeds from the event go towards the arts and enrichment programs at PS 150 and PS 234.
Tickets are $45 per person ($40 in advance) and includes six tastes from any of the participating restaurants. Premium Ticket Market Table seats start at $175 per person, which include personal food runners, reserved seating, designer T-shirts and a gift from the sponsors. To reserve the aforementioned for a table of six will cost patrons $950.
