Halloween is descending on us with frightening speed and before you know it, we'll be up to our jugular in ghouls, goblins and assorted creatures of the night. As any horrorphile will tell you, no Halloween would be complete without a trip to the local haunted house. When it comes to mind numbing terror every town has several options; in NYC the place to go is Blood Manor. Recently moved from it's digs in Chelsea to it's new haunt on Varick Street, the newly resurrected Blood Manor supplies enough thrills and chills for even the most discerning shopper.
Blood Manor is fun! However, heed the warning posted at the entrance, this place is not for the faint of heart. Expect all "manor" of surprises including strobe lights, no light, loud noises and more mental patients than you could shake a chainsaw at, though they'll shake several at you.
Blood Manor is open every night during the Halloween season. They also offer a gift shop and other creature comforts as well as plenty of actual creatures. For hours and pricing, check their website. Also, catch the folks from Blood Manor on my radio show this Monday night!
Blood Manor is located at 163 Vatisk street.
