The 8th annual New York Bulgarian Film Festival kicks off Tuesday, Feb. 21 through Sat. Feb. 25 at the world-renowned Tribeca Cinemas. The film fest brings of recent Bulgarian films to New York City.
For the first time, this year's events will be presented by So Independent Film Festival - a festival dedicated to the American independent film in South East Europe. Film culture in Bulgaria has gone through a rennaisance in recent years, and has been met with critical acclaim at international film festivals.
This year's films have been handpicked from more than 70 submissions, and will showcase both well-established filmmakers and actors, and rising stars of Bulgarian cinema.
This year's films include Tilt, The Island and N 1, to name a few.
All screenings begin at either 7 p.m., 9 p.m. or 9:15 p.m. Click here for tickets.
