After a painstaking selection process, Soho Photo Gallery has announced the winners of its Small Works National Competition! There are 61 of them, so they're not all listed here, but you can see their work exhibited from February 8 to March 3 at Soho Photo Gallery.
Juror Karen Marks, Director of the Howard Greenburg Gallery, was amazed by the impressive quality of this year’s submissions. "These artists have shown me that even when I think I know what I like, I can find something new,” she told Soho Photo.
The competition originated with the idea of preserving an appreciation for small works in a time when larger-than-life tableaus tend to dominate the photography world.
