Come celebrate the release of journalist and author Susan Shapiro's Unhooked: How to Quit Anything, a collaboration with founder of The Village Institute for Psychotherapy, psychologist Dr. Frederick Woolverton, with a fun, free Speed Shrinking Party at the Housing Works Bookstore, Wednesday, January 11.
Speed Shrinking, the phenomenon based on Shapiro's comic novel of the same name, gives you the opportunity to speed date with top Manhattan mental health professionals to look for a new guru or just to get smart advice about something that’s bothering you. Whether you need an addiction specialist, a sex therapist, a Jungian astrologer, a gay/lesbian expert or a marriage mentor, this stellar line-up of licensed therapists will guide you towards better karma in the days to come. Refreshments and treats will be served.
