As if the foot-traffic in Soho wasn't bad enough.

Manhattan Borough President Scott Singer has called on the Department of Transportation to address the intrinsic traffic issue plaguing neighborhood residents, who say Broome Street is turning into parking lot, CBS Local reports.

"For residents of the Soho and Hudson Square communities, horn honking has become the lullaby of lower Broadway," Singer told Gothamist

Bridge and tunnel commuters trying to beat the rush hour traffic is nothing new for the area, but the pandemonium caused by scores of cars blocking the box on their way to the Holland Tunnel has finally forced officals to listen to complaints.

Stringer highlights plans for additional traffic cameras, improved signage and adding "zebra paint" at problem intersections, repairs to deteriorating cross walks along Mercer and Greene between Houston and Canal streets.
