Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week 2012 will be taking place from February 9 through the 16, with a variety of stores around New York City set to participate. Diana Seo from B Spa Bar and Jorge Luis, 'Celebrity Stylist' are the event producers for the The Semi-Annual Fashion, Art, Beauty Event at the Flatiron Hotel on Wednesday, February 15, from 7 to 10 p.m.
A new boutique in Manhattan's Flatiron District, The Flatiron Hotel, brain child of Toshi, founder of the toshiNow Foundation and CEO of the Flatiron Hotel, a mecca of creativity, will host the event as part of its mission to showcase popular arts, nightlife and entertainment and to re-define the hotel experience as a creative, social and artistic immersion. The space includes a cutting edge sound system and stage with an internal framework of colored LED lights. The entire lobby acts as a stage to entertain attendees and attracts passing people with two large glass walls facing Broadway.
As you celebrate an evening of fashion, art and beauty, you'll be helping to raise money for the Toshi Now Foundation, which provides arts and entertainment scholarships for kids. This is a non-profit organization who is always looking for new ways to showcase and improve their talents. Social curator, hotelier, and actor, Toshi provides need-based scholarships for voice, piano and violin lessons for children throughout the city.
Las Gemelas Lulu y Lala will be hosting the event, with performances by electronic violinist Sarah Charness, belly dancing by Valeria Entertainment and opera singing by Carla Wesby.
Guests should dress to impress as you will be mingling with designers like Sandra Baquero, Lizzy Gomez, Johnny Russia and Christine Leitner, artists such as, Savior Elmundo and Danielle Mastrion, along with fellow fashion lovers.
