It seems like only yesterday you were sitting in front of your 50-inch plasma television, watching the New York Giants destroy the New England Patriots in Super Bowl XLVI. Now, your Sundays seem to drag on without the pleasure of football to occupy your time.
It is completely understandable, this withdrawal you are going through, but luckily there are a number of big events happening in New York sports that you can experience right now!
Your prime location to catch all the latest sports, AOA Bar & Grill is stocked with 25 craft beers and over 50 bottled brews for your drinking pleasures.
As you travel the brand new corridors of Madison Square Garden for the New York Knicks vs. Miami Heat game on February 23, you may find yourself in a sea of blue Jeremy Lin jerseys. Throwing their money in the wrong direction, little did the Knicks know they had actual gold in their hands with this Asian-American kid out of Harvard University. Eli Manning may have been the MVP this football season, but in basketball, Lin is the star!
For those patrons not fortunate enough to attend the actual game, sports bar AOA Bar & Grill is happy to be your host. You are not going to want miss any of this “Lin-Sanity,” like at the Tuesday night game in Toronto when he sunk a game-winning three-pointer with only .5 seconds left in the game.
The Knicks are holding down the court while the New York Rangers are conquering the ice. Striving to get their first Stanley Cup since 1994, fans were disappointed when the teams four-game winning streak was cut short by the Chicago Blackhawks this past week. The Rangers had won eight of ten to bring a seven point lead in the East Division.
Hopes were set high, especially for goaltender Henrik Lundqvist who won seven out of his last eight games. Yet, the pressure is on the team as a whole as forward Brad Richards described to Newsday, “There's never panic. We feed off of the big saves Hank makes, and with some of them, night in and night out, we're probably getting spoiled. But we're very structured; everybody's on the same page.” Check out the Rangers when they play the rival Islanders on February 24. And yes, Potvin still sucks.
AOA Bar & Grill is your spot to watch all the action in New York sports! After you get your basketball and hockey fix, make sure to come back when the Major League Baseball season kicks off in late March and catch the latest New York Yankees and New York Mets games.
