There is far more to the camp experience for children than simply occupy their time time by playing games. A camp should be a well-rounded environment for children to learn, grow and explore in a way that they wouldn't be able to on their own. It is the socialization within a camp that truly gives children a one-of-a-kind adventure.
As a smaller camp than most, Woodmont Day Camp is able to give its campers a “family-like” environment where kids are treated as individuals, rather than a group of campers.
The warm and inviting atmosphere at camp gives children the comfort of being at home, while still being able to socialize with their peers. With a dedicated staff, children are taken into a dynamic program that allows them to grow independently.
Woodmont can become a “home away from home” for many children, giving them a new addition to their family. Through the relationships that kids build during camp, they are able to better understand themselves as well as others. While the experience a child has at camp is the most important, a parent needs to feel comfortable as well. Woodmont takes parents concerns into consideration by maintaining an environment that encourages safety and good health along with reinforcing a positive self-image in children.
Woodmont promotes a family feeling throughout their program by encouraging continuous skill development in all their summer activities. The most important thing the camp can do for any child is to stress personal development and create an atmosphere of attention and care for that individual.
Camp runs from June 25 to August 16.
