Nightlife hot-spots like Vudu Lounge are expected to produce noticeable noise and attract some late-night rowdiness, and in turn, receive some backlash from the community. But, as Our Town reports, after being shut down temporarily, Vudu Lounge owners claim they are being unfairly targeted.
Located in a mostly quiet area can be both a blessing and a pain for Vudu Lounge. Little competition means it's easier to get patrons in the door but also singles them out as the supposed trouble maker. At least that's how Michael Stein, Vudu Lounge general manager, sees it. He told Our Town that despite taking "all reasonable measures," they are often a scapegoat for the perverse actions of individuals.
