Giorgio Armani will be making three grand moves over the course of the next few weeks. First, the renovated flagship at 65th Street and Madison re-opens this week after a three-month long renovation reportedly costing over $10 million. Second, Emporio Armani is returning, opening a space between 57th and 58th streets that hosted the main collection during the flagship's hiatus. Finally, Armani is opening Armani Junior, a luxury clothing store tailored to children, at 88th and Madison.
Racked reports that this is all part of the brand's aggressive new strategy for their North American market. In 2012 they will be opening 12 stores throughout the U.S., which is a drastic change since they have not opened a new store since 2007.
