The New York Historical Society is hosting a special children’s week-long event in honor of Presidents Day. Entitled History Days, the Historical Society is iniviting guests to show off their presidential history skills with family quiz shows, art making and presidential themed scavenger hunts. The event is aimed for children between the ages of 4-14 and is held from Saturday, February 18 through Sunday, February 26. Guests can participate in a presidential history quiz, where teams can compete for special prizes and a secret grand prize, as well as presidential art making, where children will make promotional and campaign posters. The main event is the historical scavenger hunt.

The Swedish Cottage Marionette Theatre is featuring a three month show entitled, Little Miss Muffet's Monster-Sitting Service, telling the tale of the great-great-great-great granddaughter of the original Little Miss Muffet. In this case, the young Miss Muffet is literally running a "monster" baby-sitting service with her pal, Al the spider. A bad storm ensues and the whole gaggle of nursery characters enjoy a long night of song, dance and many more strange happenings.
