Wyoming Joins Alaska, Calls For Fed Takeover of Central Park - Upper West Side - Local News - NYC

Legislators in Wyoming have joined Alaska in calling on the federal government to make Central Park into a wilderness area and block future improvements to the park, West Side Rag reports.

Allen Jaggi (R) is the lead sponsor of the resolution in the Wyoming house. He wants to reintroduce wolves (!?) and other endangered species into Central Park. Great, as if escaped peacocks and coyotes weren't enough.

According to the Associated Press, while the bill is meant to be humorous, Jaggi says it's also a push back at people from other states who want to tell Wyoming how to manage its affairs.
