Forget culture shock, Broadway's Josh Gad, star of The Book of Mormon, experienced what we'll call weather shock. When the Tony-nominated star moved to Manhattan he wasn't used to the brisk winds of the northern city, but Gad, along with his wife and newborn daughter Ava, quickly cozied up in a new apartment in the Rushmore building.
Off Riverside Boulevard, Rushmore has homed stars like Robin Williams and Alex Rodriguez. But a bachelor pad was not what Gad had in mind. According to the New York Post, Gad and wife have surrendered their one-bedroom apartment to baby Ava.
The Post quotes Gad describing the place as having a "very postmodern baby feel."
The "baby pad" includes the Laugh & Learn Jumperoo set in which Gad envies, should adult touches like a television and toilet be added.
When Gad isn't gushing about Ava, he speaks of his fondness for the grownup features Rushmore has to offer, including a swimming pool, suana, gym and Sub-Zero refrigerator, all amenities that will make his summer a bit "Gladder."
