Felice Cohen has significantly upgraded her New York City living situation, according to the New York Post.
The celebrity personal organizer and author had previously called a 90-square-foot, $700 a month hole in the wall home. She slept on a loft inches from the ceiling and cooked with a toaster oven, but she made it work.
She learned the value of living within her means from her grandfather, a Holocaust survivor.
"I dont waste money on lattes. I looked at the space like a challenge," she said.
Last summer, however, Cohen's landlord became suspicious after a video of the space surfaced and revealed an illegal subletter.
By the time her landlord tried to raise her rent, Cohen had no problem upgrading to a new apartment nearly six times the size of her former pint-sized home.
Her time spent living within her means paid off as she now enjoys her life in a luxurious, 500-square-foot apartment, just blocks away on the Upper West Side.
