12-Year-Old Student Behind Shake Shack $5 Special

A 12-year-old student convinced Danny Meyer to offer $5 lunch specials at the Upper West Side Shake Shack, according to Eater.
Thanks to Ben Newhouse, Anderson School's nearby Shake Shack will give student's a discount on a burger and fries lunch special for the month of Februrary. Students will save $2 at the flash of a school ID.
The Anderson School student must have offered a convincing argument to Meyer, who apparently engaged Newhouse in discussions with Shake Shack higher-ups to expand the lunch special to other nearby school locations.
Newhouse's classmates owe him a burger or at least a thank you for his efforts.
