These days, it can be truly difficult to find a great performance of Baroque period music, but early music groups like the Gotham Early Music Scene and Brooklyn Baroque aim to fulfill your desires.
On Saturday, Nov. 5, from 4 to 6 p.m, Brooklyn Baroque will be celebrating the release of their new French CD of Boismortier cello sonatas. The group consists of members Andrew Bolotowsky (Baroque flute), David Bakamjian (Baroque cello) and Rebecca Pechefsky (harpsichord).
The Gotham Early Music Scene is presenting this event at the Morris Jumel mansion.
Tickets for the event cost $25 per person and $20 for GEMS members. A Champagne reception will follow the performance. Advanced registration is required.
