Fall harvest is here and Harlem is ready to wine, dine and convene. Participate in a cook-off, watch the dance theatre of Harlem, or harness your inner chi with a Tai Chi Class.
The Harlem Harvest Festival is Saturday, Oct. 8, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on St. Nicholas Avenue between 116th and 117th streets. Master pumpkin carver Hugh McMahon will raffle off one of his exquisitely carved pumpkins, along with a free two night stay at Aloft Harlem Hotel, and a dinner for two at HP2P restaurant.
Bring along the kids for some face painting, pumpkin carving, flower-planting classes and apple stamping.
This year marks the second annual Harlem Harvest Festival promoting fresh local foods and businesses.
