Hunter College's Silberman School of Social Work's new East Harlem campus is set to open in just a few weeks, reports The Wall Street Journal. It’s been a long wait – three years to be exact since the plan to open a new campus uptown was proposed – but it’s almost ready to make its début.
The $135 million building was designed by architect Scott Newman of Cooper Robertson and Partners. The new building features an "indoor street" lobby with floor-to-ceiling glass walls that function to "engage passersby and open up the building's activities to the community's scrutiny."
