Famous Ray's will reopen under its original management, according to DNAinfo.
Since shutting down in October, there's been much speculation that the Sixth Avenue space would be taken over by a rival, Famous Original Ray's.
However, the building's owner confirmed that the pizza joint will return under its previous identity.
Famous Original Ray's did make an attempt to swoop in and claim the space, but the lease fell through before it became official.
"I was going to give [Famous Original Ray's] the lease, but the lease fell through," said Mario DiRienzo, who opened Famous Ray's in 1973.
DiRienzo continued, "I'm coming back. New York needs me."
Looks like Famous Ray's supporters dodged a bullet and will likely be reuinited with their favorite pizza by late the end of March.
