A woman was killed in Williamsburg on Wednesday night after being hit by a sanitation truck, according to the New York Daily News.
Preliminary investigations indicate that Katherine Yun, a 25-year-old grad student at New York University, was crossing Broadway near Driggs Avenue when she was struck around 7 p.m.
When police arrived at the scene of the incident, they found Yun's unconscious body. She was transported to Woodhull Medical Center where she was officially pronounced dead shortly after.
The driver of the truck stayed on the scene. No criminality is expected, but the incident remains under investigation.
