Williamsburg’s housing-hungry hipsters can rejoice as the Finger Building is ready for you to move into, as Curbed reports the first set of listings are open to the public, via Corcoran. The breakdown of the 41 units include 10 1BRs, 25 2BRs, three BRs and three penthouses.
Features and amenities at this "once-in-a-lifetime" building include private balconies with Manhattan skyline views, gym, kitchens with "locally made cabinetry," Bertazzoni range ovens and Sub-Zero refrigerators. The "truly one-of-a-kind" bathrooms have custom hand-painted ceramic tiles, custom lighting fixtures, Robern medicine cabinets and Hansgrohe fixtures. The lobby is also "dramatic," but we're still waiting to hear back on what type of theatrics will be going on there.
Prices range from $610,000 to $1.95 million.
Now simply called 144 North 8th Street, the name was always on the developer's mind. According to Crain’s, the builder, GFI Development, went through multiple name changes, originally apprehensive about calling it “the finger” as it was an upscale (and upwardly-priced) building in a working class neighborhood.
