When people think of vintage and consignment stores in North Brooklyn, the immediate spots that come to mind are the long-established Beacon's Closet and Buffalo Exchange. These two vintage stores (which we recently named two of the best clothing stores in Williamsburg) have been putting clothes on the backs of trendy, fashion-forward Brooklynites for years now.
But what happens when these Brooklyn fashionistas start their own families? Where can one find fashionable clothes to dress their (equally fashionable) babes?
Relax, Greenpoint's Tallulah's Closet has everything you need. The trendy consignment store, specializing in designer clothing, shoes and accessories for infants and toddlers from international labels such as Burberry, Ralph Lauren, Christian Dior and Jacadi, has everything trendy moms need for their pint-sized fashionistas.
The store was borne out of Greenpoint resident and mom Lisa Wright's overflowing closet of frocks that her daughter, Tallulah, had outgrown - or never worn. Plus, most of the establishments in the area selling children's clothing were generally too expensive for regular families.
"There was such a need for a place in the neighborhood that offered high-end kids clothing at low prices," Wright tells Time Out New York.
